Ateliê Romã

Atelier Romã was born in 2012, the result of the dream of Milena Rodrigues Paludetto, born in Birigui (SP), a Brazilian designer and jeweler.

Graduated in Industrial Design from the State University of Sao Paulo (UNESP – Bauru – SP), in 2007 Milena moved to Sao Paulo, the capital, considering it one of the largest and most important urban centers in Brazil. Her career path led to further explore Contemporary Jewelery / Author’s Jewelery, firstly addressed at the University. She attended technical courses of specialization in Jewelery and Jewelery Modeling and 3D Prototyping, as well as several courses in manual arts, drawing, engraving and theoretical courses on the Art and History of Jewelery.

Since her early years at the University and then in the other art courses she followed, it became crystal clear how her creative process is closely linked to the manipulation of materials and to the constructive and artistic processes themselves.

This perception has contributed a lot to finding a unique and plural aesthetic language in her work in jewelry, thus encouraging her to set up her own brand.

In addition to developing exclusive projects and designer collections for her own brand, the artist holds courses in designer and artisan jewelery, based on goldsmith techniques, laboratories and workshops related to contemporary jewelery and creativity, as well as more specific lessons that are part of her line of research: the surface of metals.
